“Our Earth” is evolving

It has been almost seven years since The Pilgrim publishes this double page “Our Earth to All” every week. A strong editorial choice, inspired by the appeal of Pope Francis, in Laudato si’ in 2015, to an integral ecological conversion, from the hearts of each person to social and economic structures.

Like cats, this section has had several lives: from sprouted seeds to green finance to the different ways to make your cell phone last, the approach through individual gestures has taken up most of it. Not to place the responsibility of changing the world on our frail shoulders, but because everyone can find meaning and joy in acting on their own scale. Since March 2024, we have opened these pages to biodiversity, in order to make visible the living, precious world that is often absent from the headlines.

Today, we want to go further in the appropriation by each of the ecological issues that are in the news, by making them accessible in a visual and general public format. Understanding an international treaty, a word at the heart of debates or a technological innovation allows us to be an enlightened link in ecological conversion.

Finally, regularly, the “In the fields” section will discuss what is happening there throughout the seasons, to work towards bringing farmers and citizens closer together. We will be happy to receive your comments throughout the issues. Good discovery!
