3 films plunging into the depths of the soul
1. “Enzo”, by Robin Campillo
Social drama, 1 h 42. In theaters on June 18, 2025.
“A film by Laurent Cantet directed by Robin Campillo” indicates the credits of the work presented at the opening of the fifteen of filmmakers in Cannes. Because, knowing that he was condemned by the disease, Laurent Cantet – who died in April 2024 – told his latest film to his friend and co -chairmanist Robin Campillo.
He stages Enzo, 16, apprentice mason at La Ciotat (Bouches-du-Rhône). Coming from a bourgeois environment, he discovered the working -class world, class relationships and his own contradictions. Sensitive teenager and overwhelmed by his emotions, Enzo fails to put his aspirations as a young man into words.
This feature film, the fruit of a companionship and the artistic complicity of the two directors, is of both the social, family and learning film. The hero’s entry into adulthood is staged in a fair and sensitive way.
