Faced with the distress of farmers, the association Les Jours Paysannes is launching a novena from November 3 to 11.

Novena Prayer

Lord Jesus, you asked us to cultivate the land, with your grace, in order to feed our brothers.

Our suffering is great today, because the obligations of our profession are heavy, and the directives and standards overwhelm us.

Like the grain of wheat passing under the millstone to produce rich and nourishing flour, like the grain of grapes crushed in the press to produce this new wine intended to rejoice the hearts of men, here we are in a hurry from all sides .

Also, humbly, we come before You to ask for Your light. Enlighten our hearts and our thoughts. Inspire us with your wishes, especially in difficult situations. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You.

We are made for you, Lord. Grant us to remain willing to serve you, our Creator, while providing for the needs of our brothers.

Allow each of our families to drink from the Living Water that springs from your merciful Heart.

Tired by our long days, following Simon of Cyrene, help us to carry and offer our daily crosses.

We implore you, O living and radiant God,
give us your look to console,
give us your smile to warm you,
give us your hands to share and work the land of your Kingdom,
give us your heart to love better.

So be it.
