“I imagine the dreams of others”

You animate It’s not so far away, Every day on France 5. Put us mouth water…

Did you know that there are unsuspected bridges between green algae in Brittany and sargassus (brown algae) in the Caribbean? And that thousands of kilometers away, humans find common solutions? In this magazine, we are looking at the world from “France of the three oceans” by deciphering the answers provided to the big ecological, economic, cultural questions … Our subjects resonate far beyond the ultramarine territories.

What does this show reveal to you?

My interest in individual trajectories. What drives me above all, beyond the territories, is the human. I grew up with a nurse mother and a police father. Following them, interested in others has always been obvious.

A quality that you will be proud to transmit to your son?

Curiosity! He already has a taste for listening and understood how to go to the other by asking open questions, which call an answer. For example, asking a loved one how his day went is not a simple courtesy formula, but a real approach of interest and an invitation to express themselves. In my eyes, it’s essential.

A solidarity initiative that touched you?

The Advent inverted calendar, an invention of my son when he was 5 years old. Every day in December, he slipped hygiene products into small plastic bags. On Christmas Eve, we went to distribute her discoveries to homeless people. I was deeply touched by these simple thanks to a 5 -year -old child.

We offer you an hour of silence. What are you doing?

I sit on the terrace to imagine the dreams and expectations of passers -by that I observe. Thus, my mind wandered to the rhythm of the world around me.

A good plan to reconnect to nature?

Board in salt water. The submerged ears, the outside world fades. No more noise. No more agitation. Just the indescribable sound of the ocean.

What beauty will save the world?

Benevolence. I deeply like the human being, with his faults. We have the right to be wrong, to be afraid … But above all we have a duty to remember these weaknesses in our daily relationships.
