Ah that it is beautiful, dear Régis, your goal of walking from your house to that of your sister by crossing France! In order to best carry out this project, you should indeed prepare for it. Everyone is unique in front of the effort. There are therefore no general rules. However, depending on the land, you can aim to move between 20 and 25 km per day. Start by organizing three days of hiking at this rate to discover your body in the sustained and regular effort.

Then, by this summer, walk every day an hour. Test your shoes and backpacks, to be sure you are well equipped. Often those who stop on the way have forced too much from the start. So start gently so that the body enters the rhythm of the path and this new life. It is not possible to tell you the number of kilometers not to be exceeded, because it is you who will feel it.

If your feet and back are too painful, stop. The road is a path of humility. Program on the route of restorative stops in places conducive to letting go. Above all, take pleasure in taking off, savor the power and beauty of reaching your goal on foot.
