In Saône-et-Loire, a sports job dating recreated from the link between recruiters and unemployed
Ten o’clock has not yet sounded that a heat of lead already crushes Montceau-les-Mines (Saône-et-Loire). Participants, who arrive in droppings, go to take refuge under the barnums on the edge of the stadium. “It’s hot but we’re going to go soft, the goal is not to have them run too much,” says Yannick Chaumont, a socio-sports employee of the local rugby club who co-organizes this day “from the stadium to employment” with France work (ex-Pôle Emploi). Imagined in 2019, this concept brings together recruiters and job seekers on a collective sports field, without CV or badge to preserve anonymity.
In the early afternoon, employers are revealed, present their needs and offer informal exchange time to participants. In this industrial basin where the unemployment rate reaches 8.7 %, around fifty job seekers from priority districts of city policy are expected. Among them, seven recruiters, from sectors such as industry, call centers or medico -social. For the time being, everyone is evolving incognito, or almost. Lucas, a 24-year-old job seeker, laughs: “I have already spotted a few. Alexandre, a 43 -year -old worker, has no idea who is who. Viennoiserie in hand, he takes strength by observing with an amused eye.
Prepare the ground
Around 10:30 a.m., participants gathered on the soccer field, covered with sand for the occasion: on the program, Beach Rugby. After unlocking the joints, they launch on the stadium by team – each with at least one employer. After simple passes to two, “to discover the oval ball”, the warm -up is gradually becoming more complex before going to the games. Good child, the mind is not in competition: sport is only a pretext here. “Whether there is a job or not, it’s a good time, the opportunity to break up isolation and get out of the framework of France work, perceived as controlling,” explains Beryl Bouillot, France work councilor. “It feels good to do a group activity,” abounds Marine. Armenian, she perfected her French to find a job after years as a housewife.
If parity is not found in the field, fifteen women participate, however. At 58, Kadijah, who had never played rugby, said he was delighted. Same state of mind at Audrey, 37, who laughs while pretending to worry: “I just dropped someone, I hope he is not a recruiter. Besides the activity, the idea is to break the formal framework of the meeting and to place everyone on an equal footing. A format that convinced Lucas: “This is an opportunity to see the employers, always square and serious, in a different light. “And to be natural, adds Dylan, 27 years old:” Classic interview is stressful: the slightest blunder, error on a term, can cost us dear. There, we can create a link by humor. »»
Speaks
At the end of the morning, the enthusiasm of the players fades due to the ambient 35 ° C: it is time to stop, place at the Poulet-Frites. It is only at the end of the lunch, during which are ultimately observed quite a few mixtures, that the masks fall. Two strong young men, who had overshadowed to change, reappear in military uniform. After having detailed the positions offered on stage, the recruiters are distributed over stands. “This allows them to skip the first interview. We feel more relaxed thanks to the activity, ”notes Charlotte Bernardi, who recruits customer advisers for a call center.
After a shielded car tour with the two soldiers, Lucas and Ibrahima discover a potential vocation in the army, while Jérôme, carpenter in retraining, will chat with white butterflies, a medico-social structure with which he had already applied: “It is not difficult to put a layer from it, it can eventually give something”, he slips. Alexandre appreciates this direct access to employers, especially since it has become rare, according to him: “In the past, I went around companies to deposit my CV. Today it is no longer possible, France work or the temporary box make the first filter. “After a few exchanges, he left satisfied, with good hope of winning, at least in temporary, missions from the novium industrialist in assembly and maintenance:” exactly what I can do “.
Success recipes
- A club at the forefront – support on a well -established local associative structure, the Beach Rugby club, which knows the employment area, the social context and good animation capacities.
- Motivated recruiters – A limited number of employers are present, with real needs and not simply for visibility, “as could be the case in the past”, specifies Beryl Bouillot.
- A targeted audience – An operation aimed at a specific audience – unemployed people very far from employment and from priority districts of the city – in order to adapt the proposals to their needs. Their limited number allows you not to drown them among others.
