Morocco in the spotlight and the sea in poetry at the Grand-Palais
More than 400 authors invited at a conference, 1000 in dedication, 300 meetings programmed on the 11 scenes of the Grand Palais, theater, cinema, a cabaret … The ambition of the organizers is to open the space of the book to all by crossing artistic genres.
With a mission: defending freedom of expression – which we see in the United States that it is not an intangible achievement -; promote diversity and accessibility; fight against sexism.
Morocco is the guest of honor this year
The festival aims to be fun: “Young Adult” spaces (young adult) and comics, children’s village, and creative workshops dedicated to poetry or Zelliges, these beautiful Moroccan geometric patterns. It is that Morocco is the guest of honor of this edition, with its pavilion designed as an invitation to travel.
To celebrate the year of the sea, an immersion in the universe of scientists and poets of the abyss will be held at the sea gallery, with its scene, two exhibitions and a bookstore.
Scientific literature will also have its space with the Sciences for All Festival. For lovers of the French language, the great dictation made its return on April 11, to the Petit Palais. Hosted by Augustin Trapenard and Rachid Santaki, it will be broadcast on France 5. To your feathers!
