Little hands, by Nessim Chikhaoui, social comedy, 1h27. In theaters.

Barely out of a child welfare home, Eva starts as a chambermaid in a Parisian palace. Alongside her precarious colleagues, she experiences the harshness of a shadow job where bodies are worn out and hearts mishandled by intransigent managers. During a social movement within the palace, Eva will discover solidarity between workers and will engage in the union struggle.

Inspired by various strikes carried out in large Parisian hotels in 2018 and 2021, this fiction realistically evokes the working conditions of these little hands whose salary is sometimes ten times lower than the price of a room for one night.

Avoiding the trap of miserabilism, director Nessim Chikhaoui (The Tuche, Placed) offers us a second choral film carried by the joyful strength of Safietou, Aissata, Violette and Simone. Solar, these heroines draw their energy from collective action and are capable of imagining, together, a better future.
