Angoulême 2025 festival: a family edition to restore the taste for reading

This year 2025, the festival is more family -friendly than ever with exceptional meetings and exhibitions to discover everywhere in Angoulême. Objective: to restore the taste for reading to young people, in a book market which retracted in 2024, BD included.

Interactive, the exhibition “BD regulates its tales” plunges for example visitors to magic atmospheres, from the magical castle D ‘Émile and Margot hilarious Seven dwarf bear, via the illustrated books of The Encyclopedia of the Wonderful. Fans will not miss “Superman, the hero with a thousand and one lives”, nor the games around mortal Adèle or Lucky Luke.

On the manga side, “The Wizarding Workshop” revisits the fantastic universe of the eponymous work. The expo dedicated to Vinland saga will attract great teenagers: mixing history and fiction, inspired by Icelandic sagas like Erik Le Rouge, This series of manga and animated very in vogue tells the life of an Icelandic Year Mil, from war to redemption.

Angoulême also inaugurates a new sculpture: the bust of Ariol, the hilarious little blue donkey with the big glasses of Emmanuel Guibert and Marc Boutavant, Grand Prix of Angoulême 2020.
