Nature is also a sanctuary

Prayers in the countryside

A Norman town of 700 inhabitants, Cerisy-Belle-Étoile (Orne) is famous in particular for a neighboring hill covered with nearly 25,000 hydrangeas. Their flowering attracts visitors from all over the region every spring. This year they will be able to take advantage of their visit to also participate in an ecospirituality training session given from April 26 to 28 at the Rural Family House, in the presence of Swiss author Michel Maxime Egger. “A journey to work on our emotions, change our imagination and commit ourselves to a transition towards a more just and sustainable world*”, announce the organizers who have been collaborating in joyful ecumenism on the ground for years.

Because in this region, under the leadership in particular of the Missionary Brothers from the countryside based in La Carneille and the local Protestant community, a Christians and Ecology group meets regularly, organizing festive meetings and various training courses. An opportunity to invite men, women and children to discover the natural beauties of the countryside, each other’s know-how, and to pray together in the service of Creation. Because this is also what ecological awareness causes.
