The one who is also Italian boogie-woogie champion, explains that he confirmed his decision in 2022, when he lived with two priests. “I had the opportunity to meet men who showed me what the Church means. They gave me the strength to investigate this question that I have been asking since I was a child but that various fears m “prevented us from going deeper.”

Fear of judgment

Thus, at the dawn of his 21st birthday, the young man is today in his propaedeutic year, a year of reflection and teaching before entering the seminary, and serves in two parishes in the diocese of Florence. Edoardo admits to having been “afraid of the judgment of others” before his announcement. But the incomprehension of some in the face of such a reorientation did not get the better of his determination.

A message of hope

I wish you the best.” In Italy as in France, the number of Christians and practitioners is decreasing drastically and the Church is suffering from a tarnished and aging image. Through his personal story, Edoardo carries a message of hope which it would be a shame to deprive oneself of.
