Which are the first hundred buildings which will benefit from the national collection of the Heritage Foundation?

Emmanuel Macron announced it on the occasion of the 40th European Heritage Days, in September 2023: a national collection to save religious heritage.

Managed by the Heritage Foundation, this call for donations aims to help a total of one thousand religious buildings assigned or not to worship in municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants in mainland France and 20,000 overseas.

The announced objective of 200 million euros is still far from being achieved. To date (April 26, 2024), the Heritage Foundation platform has recorded 2.3 million euros in donations from some 12,000 donors.

The list of the first hundred buildings which will benefit from this collection was announced on Friday April 26, requiring work, the amount of which was estimated in total at 15 million euros.
