Context
Created in 2005, the e-Enfance/3018 association raises awareness against online harassment and digital violence that young people suffer. It is recognized as being of public utility, approved by the Ministry of National Education and Youth.
It has been publishing an annual barometer for five years. The latest was carried out by the Audirep institute for the association, with the support of the Caisse d’Épargne.
Some key figures to remember:
- 37% young people aged 6 to 18 are affected by harassment or cyberharassment, a figure which is “not weakening” according to Samuel Comblez.
- 35% young people are confronted with it from primary school onwards.
- 71% cases of harassment take place within the school establishment.
- 65% primary school children go on social networks.
- 19% recognize having participated in acts of harassment, driven by a collective dynamic.
