Far from the eyes, near the heart

This is the story of a slightly special thunderbolt. In 2001, in a film screened at the Aquarium in Monterey (California), a producer of animal documentaries discovered the beauty of the species populating the abyss. “Strange beings (…) took place like fluid ribbons performing a magic dance. A creature marked me more than the others: a kind of transformist octopus (…), equipped with two big comic ears which made it engaging. I was dazzled … speechless … amazed, “says the young woman*. Discover that beyond 1,000 m deep, in the dark night, the ocean gives life to breathtaking species was a shock that redirected his life.

Four years later, in order to protect their small octopus and all the people of the oceans of the ravages of deep waters, Claire Nouvian founded the Bloom association, which became the terror of industrial fishing. His story tells me about the challenge of protecting this universe so far from the eyes.
