Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke: Mass of August 3

At that time, in the middle of the crowd, someone asked Jesus: “Master, telling my brother to share our heritage with me. Jesus replied, “Man, who established me to be your judge or the arbiter of your sharing?” “Then, addressing everyone:” Keep very greedy, because someone’s life, even in abundance, does not depend on what he has. And he said this parable to them: “There was a rich man, whose domain had reported well. He wondered: “What are I going to make? For I don’t have a place to put my harvest.” Then he says to himself: “Here is what I will do: I will demolish my attics, I will build bigger and I will put all my wheat and all my goods. So I will say to myself: you are therefore with many goods available to you, for many years. “You’re crazy: that very night, we’re going to ask you your life. And what you’ve accumulated, who will have it?” This is what happens to the one who amasses for himself, instead of being rich in view of God. »»

Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke: Mass of August 6

At that time, Jesus took stone with him, John and Jacques, and he climbed the mountain to pray. While he prayed, the appearance of his face became another, and his garment became dazzling whiteness. Here are two men spoke with him: it was Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory. They spoke of his departure which was going to be accomplished in Jerusalem. Pierre and his companions were overwhelmed with sleep; But, remaining awake, they saw the glory of Jesus, and the two men by his side. The latter were moving away from him, when Peter said to Jesus: “Master, it is good that we are here! Let’s do three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Élie”. He didn’t know what he was saying. Pierre had not finished speaking, that a cloud came and covered them with his shadow; They were seized as a fear when they entered it. And, from the cloud, a voice was heard: “This one is my son, the one I chose: listen to him!” And while the voice was heard, there was only Jesus left, alone. The disciples kept silent and, in these days, they did not relate anyone to what they had seen.
