how to buy less but better

how to buy less but better

1. Always check the composition of clothes before buying

Avoid fabrics made from synthetic materials: nylon, polyester, acrylic, etc. They will quickly deform. We recognize them by their unpleasant (and sometimes toxic) chemical odor, the low density of fabric, and a slightly rough, “plastic” feel. Choose natural fibers like linen or cotton. Because they cost manufacturers more than synthetic materials, they are often a sign that special care has been taken in making the garment.

3. Identify labels and manufacturing indices to buy more responsibly

A very low price will always be a bad sign. But unfortunately a saltier note does not guarantee durability. Labels or markings are more reliable. Clothing stamped made in France or labeled “France terre textile” is a good indicator of quality. Indeed, France and its high labor costs cannot compete with low-end manufacturers. It must therefore stand out in a more upscale market.
