Nature is also a sanctuary

In three Ts, everything is said

In the art of formulas which was that of Pope Francis, that of the “three Ts” holds a special place since it was taken up by his successor, Leo XIV. On October 23, before an assembly of representatives of popular movements – associations, unions, activists – from different continents, the North American Pope made the following declaration: “Land, housing and work are sacred rights worth fighting for.”

Three Ts therefore: land, a roof, a job! Three pillars to be able to live an existence made of security and dignity, a reality that these two popes were able to verify on the ground, in the popular Argentinian suburbs of Buenos Aires or the remote regions of Peru.

A land to live in, to cultivate your garden, to know where you come from. A roof to form a home providing family security and personal privacy. A job, finally, to provide for the needs of your loved ones.

Attention to the lives of ordinary people that is light years away from the dominant economic model, ever faster, uprooted and exhausting. Pope Leo, too, senses that it is by returning to the poorest that a society can find meaning: “Your quest is legitimate and necessary,” he says to the popular movements.

Who knows if the seeds of love that you sow, as small as mustard seeds, will be able to grow in a more humane world for all and help to better manage “new things”. The Church and I want to be at your side on this journey.”
