Mother Teresa’s Magnificent Meditation on Christmas
It’s Christmas every time you smile at your brother and extend your hand, every time you shut up to listen to someone, every time you turn your back on the prejudices that relegate the oppressed to the confines of their isolation, every every time you hope with the prisoners, those who are burdened with the weight of physical, moral or spiritual poverty, every time you recognize with humility your limits and your weakness.
It’s Christmas every time you allow God to love others through you.
Let us pray to God that at Christmas we can welcome Jesus not in the cold manger of our hearts, but in a heart full of love and humility, animated by the warmth of the love we have for one another.
