Nature is also a sanctuary

The poet and the creatures

A beautiful warm smile, a generous and reassuring beard, the Roman collar and the short-sleeved shirt: Don Cosimo Schena fits well into the stereotypes of the influencer priest – big brother, coach, trainer, confidant… -, such as we now encounter on social networks in Italy, the United States, France and elsewhere.

At 46 years old, this media speaker uses poetry to reach his subscribers, with a certain success, estimated at several million views of his videos.

On October 9, Don Cosimo Schena was one of the speakers at the first edition of the Festival of Creatures, which was held in Assisi (Italy), notably on the occasion of the eight hundredth anniversary of the Canticle of Creatures by Francis of Assisi.

Because the charismatic Italian priest is passionate about animals, who amaze him for “their ability to live in the present and show unconditional love.

Animals do not judge, do not hold grudges and live each moment with a purity and simplicity that we human beings often forget. This experience taught me the importance of being present for others, offering love without expectations, and finding joy in the little things in life.

These values have become fundamental in my mission to bring comfort and hope through my poetry and my ministry. What if animals saved us from our virtual universes?
