Win an authentic stone by supporting religious heritage in danger
They are the survivors of Notre-Dame de Paris. These stones in the Gothic cathedral built in the 12th century ended in the rubble after the devastating fire on April 15, 2019.
Like the building that has found its splendor since its inauguration with great fanfare on December 8, these remains of the past can have a new life. What if these stones were a new decoration on the shelves of individuals?
50 lots distributed
This is an original and quite possible idea! As part of the national collection in favor of the religious heritage, the Heritage Foundation will allow its donors which have paid more than 40 euros, to be drawn to win a real stone of the cathedral.
A total of 50 lots will be distributed. These are limestone cut cubes 7 cm side, weighing approximately 800 grams each. One of the faces is covered with a yellow copper plate authenticating its provenance.

Alexandre GIUGLARIS Director General of the Heritage Foundation
“Everyone realized a few years ago that heritage was fragile. Today we are celebrating the reopening of this cathedral, but there is the rest of the heritage, these small churches, these temples, these synagogues, finally of all this heritage which exists everywhere in France and which is in very poor condition. Today there are 500 churches which are closed, 5000 which are threatened, and therefore we launch this contest, this draw, for all those who make a donation in favor of the small heritage. It is a bit of a solidarity measure between Notre-Dame de Paris and the small churches … “, said Alexandre GIUGLERIS, director general of the heritage foundation at the microphone of Europe 1 on March 9.
16.7 million euros for 100 religious buildings
Participants have until April 4 to make a donation (tax deductible) intended for the foundation of 16.7 million euros in just over a year. The names of the winners will be announced on April 15, a symbolic date that will mark the 6th anniversary of the fire.
This initiative aims to encourage gifts of national collection in favor of the religious heritage launched in September 2023 by Emmanuel Macron. It aims to support small municipalities of less than 10,000 inhabitants in mainland France and less than 20,000 inhabitants in the overseas territories to renovate their religious buildings in danger, all cults combined.
The collection was entrusted to the Heritage Foundation. In one year, the private non -lucrative organization collected 16.7 million euros intended for the restoration of one hundred religious buildings.
