Wonders every day

Wonders every day

I left for Rome with the Fratello pilgrimage from November 13 to 16, 2025. I was expecting a transformation, a renewal. I wanted to be closer to my Jesus, to love more and more, to pray more and more. I hoped to come back touched by what was going to happen. During a vigil, I was asked to intone Virgin of Light. It’s a song that I really like but, normally, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. With encouragement and prayer, I succeeded. It was the first time I got to sing in front of people.

But at the end of this vigil, I had an epileptic seizure. I was taken to the hospital and stayed on a bed in a hallway all night. I was sad to miss mass with Pope Leo. I prayed and told Jesus, “When I am in darkness, you always open a door for me. When one door closes, another opens. » I believe Jesus is coming to knock on your door. This is what happened to me when I was on the street. A lot of doors closed on me. But when I welcomed Jesus, I saw them open.

I remember the first time I opened my heart to him. I was hospitalized and I was scared. I thought I would like to have a Bible with me, but at that time no one could visit me. I asked my mother for a Bible.

One day, a nurse brought me one. I discovered Psalm 22: “The Lord is my shepherd: I lack nothing. On meadows of fresh grass, he makes me rest. (…) He brings me back to life (…) I fear no evil because you are with me. » I opened my heart to Jesus and left the hospital. I met the group I went with to Rome. I started praying with them and asked for baptism. I was baptized in 2019.

Since that moment, Jesus has made me see wonders every day. When I had to fly back from Rome before the end of the pilgrimage, the hostess went to talk to the pilots about me. The cockpit door opened and I was invited inside. The co-pilot was called Sabrina, like me! She made me sit next to her. I was touched by their kindness.

I too want to help my neighbor as God loves me. He gave me the gift of praying for others and also of drawing. And I thank him for the brothers and sisters I received.
