Arielle Beck impresses at La Roque d’Anthéron 2025
When her fluette and slender figure advanced to greet this Monday, June 21, 2025 at 9 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2025, we thought we were perceiving a hint of stage fright. But from the first notes of her recital, goodbye timidity: she unrolled her ranges with mastery, chaining Mendelssohn, Schubert, Chopin and Schumann in front of an audience that she already knows well.
It was not her first time here-she had already come to the previous two years-but never had the honor of performing on the big stage, as this evening. She got away with it brilliantly, to the delight of music lovers, who probably ignore that just a few days before this concert, the girl spent her bac.
“I followed the CNED lessons,” she explains. “She jumped two classes,” confirms Emmanuelle, her mother, still surprised by the early talent of her daughter. “His father and I are not musicians, but simply music lovers. »»
A prodigy revealed from childhood thanks to musical awakening
In 2012, Arielle was three years old when her parents enrolled her in a dance lesson. The supervisors, identifying in her a particular sensitivity, decide to orient her towards a musical awakening session. They then discover a surprisingly good child. Then begins the learning of music theory. “I think she knew how to read the music before I can read everything short,” says Emmanuelle.
She then tamed the keyboard under the leadership of prestigious and benevolent teachers, such as Igor Lazko, Anne-Lise Gastaldi, Romano Pallottini or Stephen Kovacevich. “I worked a lot,” she slips. At nine, she gives her first recital. The following year, she made her debut with UNESCO orchestra, in Paris, in the 12ᵉ Concerto by Mozart.
Anthology of awards and admiration of his peers
Her award of awards is soon to fill up: the first Grand Prix of the International Young Chopin Competition in 2018, XXe Elba Festival Prize… She continues the performances on prestigious scenes, in France, in Europe, to Japan this year at the crazy day of Tokyo. She enters the big leagues. Proof of this is: during the interview she granted us, Alexandre Kantorow in person came to congratulate her on her performance. They exchanged a few words, quite naturally, on the piano.
Arielle Beck will release her first album on September 5, 2025, inspired by German romanticism. On the program: Brahms, but especially Schumann, of which she is an absolute fan. So much so that this disc includes an original composition of its hand, a variation on a theme resulting from BUNTE BLätter from Schumann.
