In 1984, people made appointments because they suffered from spasmophilia or obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). In 2024, these symptoms have almost disappeared and people consult for hyperactivity, addiction, harassment, burnout, etc. Because, explains the practitioner, mental illnesses are always linked to the social environment.
The author paints a wonderful portrait of our society, where, in four decades, the boundary between the sick and the “non-sick” has blurred. Fascinating.
