“Please give us back Émile!” The poignant appeal from the parents of the little boy who disappeared on July 8
It has been almost five months since the little boy, who would have been 3 years old today, has remained untraceable. While he was on vacation with his grandparents, in the hamlet of Haut-Vernet (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), the child disappeared without a trace. Although several avenues were considered, none could be confirmed.
“Since July 8, we have lived between hope and despondency. After searching for him in vain for weeks, we are certain that our little Émile was the victim of an upbringing or an accident.” In a moving audio message, broadcast by Christian Family, Colomban and Marie, his parents, launched an appeal.
“This November 24 is his birthday and we cannot celebrate it. Uncertainty adds to our anxiety. Where is our little boy? What happened to him? Today we want to speak to the one or those who know what happened to him. If it was an accident, maybe you panicked. If you have done something irreparable, perhaps you regret it. Maybe you fear the consequences and don’t know how to get out of it? We can understand all this. (…) Tell us where Émile is. Pity! If he is alive don’t let us live without him, give him back to us. Pity! If he’s dead, give him back to us! Don’t leave us without a grave to collect ourselves. (…) Don’t let us and our families live the rest of our lives with this terrible anguish that crushes our hearts. We beg you to tell us where he is. Give us back Émile.”
On the Facebook group Pray for Emile, parents have also invited those who wish to participate in a novena of protection to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal “so that Emile is returned to us”. A novena broadcast by the Hozana website which is already prayed by more than 53,200 people.
