She helped me to better appreciate bread, to understand the work of a baker. Before animating it, I could get by with a wand from a supermarket. Today, I can no longer imagine it.
What place does bread hold in your family?
Every Friday, my mother made brioche bread according to her great-grandmother’s recipe. Now I prepare it with my two children.
Another element crossing generations?
The smell and flavor of orange blossom, dear to my pied-noir grandmother. She perfumed her skin with it, put it in her coffee… I dipped my children’s pacifiers in it, I put it in my cakes, my mousses.
What do you want to pass on to your children?
The ability to be happy and grateful for what they have, without forgetting where they came from.
A TV favorite?
The show It starts today by Faustine Bollaert, which I sometimes listen to on podcast. I learn a lot of things there. Taboos are lifted there, women, in particular, express themselves freely.
A hidden talent?
Sing opera arias.
The music that makes you happy in the morning?
In recent weeks I have listened a lot God gave me faithby Ophélie Winter. The meaning of this song eluded me at the age of 10, but I have since grasped it. And I measure the progress made.
A spiritual place where you like to take refuge?
The garden of our house in Aveyron, near a tree with four trunks. I consider him the guardian of our family.
A good plan to reconnect with nature?
Scuba diving. It cleanses me and allows me to connect to the ocean world.
