Titouan, 14 years old, voice of France
Oh there, there, there, we are like this, like that. Different, you and me. Oh there, there, there. We are like this, like that. We will always love each other. On November 16, 2024, this chorus will resound on the stage of Caja Magica, in Madrid, Spain. Thousands of spectators, 33 million viewers and several tens of millions of fans on social networks will attend the performance of Titouan, 14 years old, who will represent France in the final of the Junior Eurovision 2024 contest.
To win this competition, the teenager from Quimper (Finistère) is preparing like a professional. “I rehearse daily and I benefit from vocal and stage coaching three times a week so that my performance is perfect,” he told us. A work rhythm put in place on September 18, shortly after the announcement by France Télévisions that he had been chosen.
“Since then, I have made the song my own Like this like that (composed by Malo’ and co-written with Marie Bastide), with a joyful and catchy pop sound, and whose lyrics are an ode to tolerance and diversity”, explains Titouan, who already knows the tricks of television shows having participated in 2022 to season 8 of The Voice Kids on TF1 before winning the first edition of Dream Team, also on TF1.
The teenager owes his talent to falling into music as a baby. His father, Tristan Hervo, a professional guitarist, plunged him into a bath of decibels from his first bottle. At 3 years old, Titouan was already imitating Michael Jackson. He started playing drums at age 6, then piano. But his favorite instrument remains his voice with its fresh and invigorating tone.

With Titouan, will France win its fourth trophy after the victories of Valentina in 2020, Lissandro in 2022 and Zoé Clauzure in 2023? The pressure does not reach the teenager. From November 17, he will return to his life as a third-grade student who aspires, if he does not pursue a career in music, to one day become a lawyer. In the meantime, his friends and teachers from Quimper are his first fans. But that’s not enough to turn his head: “Between two classes,” he confides, “they consider me the average schoolboy that I am!” »
