3 series on acceptance of oneself and others
1. “The meaning of things”
8 x 35 minutes, max (also available via the MyCanal subscription)
At 28, Léa becomes Rabbi of a liberal synagogue in Strasbourg. A surprising choice for his family – in particular his father, a fiercely atheist psychoanalyst – and for his community, destabilized to see a woman in this position.
For her too, this new function is not a long, quiet river. To succeed in advising the others when she herself wonders constantly, Léa counts on her mastery of the founding texts of Judaism.
But she will also have to learn to trust herself and listen to her sensitivity. Perhaps she will thus be able to respond to the solicitations of the faithful and to her intimate quest: to understand the meaning of things.
An irresistible, tender, whimsical and spiritual series, freely adapted from Delphine Horvilleur’s book, Live with our deaths (Ed. Grasset). The eight episodes are crossed by the humor of the duo of writers Noah Debré and Benjamin Charbit ( Parliament, Zorro ) and carried by a amazing cast.
Éric Elmosnino, Solal Bouloudnine, Anouk Grinberg, Manu Payet and Noémie Lvovsky surround Elsa Guedj who, for her interpretation of Léa, received the prize for the best actress (French competition) at the last Festival Séries Mania.
