In Carpe Diem, you interpret Tom Villeneuve. A few words about this character?

For seventeen years, Tom studied law in prison. Lawyer at his exit, he begins to defend those he believes, like him, unjustly accused of crime. Overflowing with energy and humor, this hero wants to regain his honor, the love of his daughter and the true murderer of his wife.

What is this new role reveals you?

Tom seeks to restore justice, an important value for him as for me. Faced with broken lives or damaged by violence, seeking the truth is trying to restore a balance.

The work you could reread a hundred times?

The Grand Meaulnes by Alain Fournier, read during my adolescence. I like this book because it evokes the transition from childhood to adulthood and the friendships that change a life.

A family quality that has been transmitted to you?

The courage characterized my father. Window of windows, he happened to fall. Most of the time, he got up without flinching and returned to work by accepting injustices and dangers. I inherited its resistance to adversity.

A cause you would mobilize?

The fight against plastic pollution. Besides, I co -founded Earthwake Company in 2020, to face this scourge. We offer a pyrolysis process that transforms certain plastics into fuel.

A good way to connect to nature?

I love to walk around the edges of the Clarée, Rivière des Hautes-Alpes, near the village of Névache. This is one of the filming places in the series Alex Hugo .

You have an hour of silence. What are you doing?

I tinker, I draw, I invent a project … Always in action, I need to feel useful. And I’m probably a little afraid of silence …

A spiritual place where you like to take refuge?

I like to pray in churches. They diffuse positive energy where, in the world, some men sow destruction and hatred. I noticed it during my trips to Darfur, Haiti or Liberia when I was a member of the Board of Directors of Action against Hunger.

To be an actor is to want to attract looks, but also to give meaning to your existence, beyond death. It may be immortality.
