Living holy Saturday 2025 at home
What to do on the morning of the Holy Saturday?
This holy Saturday is that of “great silence”. With Christ, entered the night of the tomb and in the image of the Virgin Mary spleled, I try to live this day in silence, mourning, meditation, meditation and hope. It is possible to watch the long -awaited resurrection with a prayer of Benoît XVI (below))
Holy Saturday prayer of Benedict XVI
“Lord, even show today that love is stronger than hatred; that it is stronger than death.
Also descend into the nights and in the hell of our time and take by the hand those who wait.
Discount them in the light! Also be with me in my dark nights and lead me outside!
Help me, help us descend with you in the darkness of those who are waiting, who scream from depths to you!
Help us lead them to your light!
Help us to reach the “yes” of love, which brings us down and which, precisely thus, also makes us go up with you!
So be it. »»
What can we meditate at the end of the day, Holy Saturday?
Here is the night soon who will see a new day get up. The Pascale vigil allows you to live this expectation, especially using an accompanied vigil, to do at home with your children or grandchildren (below). In faith, Lord, I watch your day! Come your light on the world, come your life transforming my life, come your joy to shine around me!
“Holy Saturday is the day of the silence of God. (…) Jesus deposited in the sepulcher shares with all humanity the drama of death. (…) God is silent, but out of love. On this day, love – this silent love – becomes waiting for life in the resurrection. »»
